How It Works

Buying used equipment across a border is a sequencing problem, not a trust problem. We break the transaction into seven steps, and at every one of them you inspect first and pay after. Below: how long each step takes, where your money stands, and what you are holding when it ends.

โฑ๏ธ Overall timeline

An in-stock machine is usually loaded within two to three weeks of the contract. Sea transit adds 7โ€“15 days to South-East Asia, 15โ€“25 to India and the Middle East, 30โ€“40 to Latin America.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Payment safety

Inspection before the deposit, goods check before the balance. Every transfer follows something you have verified with your own eyes.

๐Ÿ“„ Paper trail

Contract, proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Every step produces a document you keep.

๐Ÿ”ง After arrival

Remote commissioning support by video, wiring diagrams, and help sourcing spare parts โ€” Haitian-pattern parts are widely available in most markets.

Seven steps, and where the money sits in each

1

Send your requirements

โฑ Same working day๐Ÿ’ฐ Nothing paid yet
  • The more you tell us, the shorter the shortlist. Useful: the part or a drawing, the material, the shot weight, the mould dimensions, the tonnage you already have in mind, and the destination port.
  • If you are not sure of the tonnage, send a photograph of the part with its weight and material and we will size it for you. That costs nothing and carries no obligation.
  • Tell us as-is or refurbished, and whether the voltage in your plant differs from 380 V.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepA named contactA sizing opinion, if you asked for one

๐Ÿ’ก WhatsApp is usually fastest. If you are asking about a specific machine, send the link to its page.

2

Machine options and a written quotation

โฑ 1โ€“2 working days๐Ÿ’ฐ Nothing paid yet
  • We reply with what is genuinely in stock: photographs of that machine, the machine plate, year, controller, servo or not, condition and price.
  • If we do not have what you need, we say so rather than sending something close and hoping.
  • The quotation is per machine and states clearly what is and is not included.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepPhotographs of the actual machineMachine plate and specificationA written quotation

๐Ÿ’ก Ask for two or three options and compare them. Comparing is the point of this step.

3

Live video inspection

โฑ Booked same or next day ยท 30โ€“60 min๐Ÿ’ฐ Nothing paid yet
  • We agree a time and open a live video call on the workshop floor, with the machine under power.
  • Standard route for the camera: overall condition, machine plate and serial number, the hour meter where one is fitted, the controller and its alarm history, then the machine cycling dry.
  • Point the camera wherever you want โ€” screw and barrel, tie-bars and guide rails, inside the electrical cabinet, hydraulic fittings โ€” and work down the inspection checklist item by item.
  • You keep the recording, so you can compare machines afterwards or show a colleague.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepThe inspection recordingMachine plate and hour-meter photographsA written condition report

๐Ÿ’ก Inspections are free and there is no limit on how many machines you look at. This step costs you nothing.

4

Contract, proforma invoice and deposit

โฑ About 1 working day๐Ÿ’ฐ Deposit paid
  • The contract states the model, serial number, year of manufacture, the configuration list, any refurbishment scope, the packing and shipping terms, the lead time and what happens if either side defaults.
  • We issue a proforma invoice, and the deposit is paid by T/T to the company account named as seller in that contract.
  • Once the deposit lands the machine is marked reserved and comes off the market.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepSigned sales contractProforma invoice (PI)

๐Ÿ’ก Before you wire anything, check that the payee name matches the seller named in the contract. A request to pay a personal account is a reason to stop โ€” with any supplier, not just this one.

5

Refurbishment and reconfiguration

Optional
โฑ 3โ€“10 working days๐Ÿ’ฐ Still only the deposit paid
  • We work down the configuration list agreed in the contract: seals and hydraulic oil replaced, batteries, a full clean and service.
  • Screw and barrel work where specified โ€” a different screw type, a material-specific screw, or T-slots cut.
  • Add-ons fitted before shipping: robot interface, mould temperature controller, drying hopper, auto-feeder.
  • Voltage adapted to your grid, so a mismatch is not discovered after the container is opened.
  • Photographs and video at each stage, so the work is visible while it happens.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepPhoto and video record of the workUpdated configuration list

๐Ÿ’ก Put every reconfiguration request into the configuration list before signing. Only what is written down counts.

6

Pre-shipment check, then the balance

โฑ Half a day, then about 1 day๐Ÿ’ฐ Balance paid
  • Before the container is loaded you inspect once more: a full item-by-item video re-check, or a third-party inspection agency, or your own freight forwarder on site.
  • Everything is verified against the configuration list in the contract, with another test run if you want one.
  • If something is wrong, it is corrected and re-checked. Until it passes, the balance stays where it is.
  • Once it passes, the balance is wired and we book space and file the export declaration.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepInspection sign-offCommercial invoicePacking list

๐Ÿ’ก Mind the order โ€” the check comes before the balance, never the other way round. Be wary of any supplier who reverses it.

7

Loading, shipping and arrival support

โฑ 1 day to load + 7โ€“40 days at sea๐Ÿ’ฐ Paid in full ยท bill of lading in hand
  • Export packing: waterproof film and stretch wrap on the machine, loose electrical parts crated in ISPM15-compliant fumigated wood, steel-wire bracing inside the container.
  • We film the whole loading and send it to you. The vessel sails once customs releases the shipment.
  • You get a copy of the bill of lading to check first; the original is couriered to you. With the B/L in hand, title to the goods is yours.
  • After arrival: clearance documents, and remote video guidance for installation and commissioning.
๐Ÿ“Ž You receive at this stepOcean bill of lading (B/L)Certificate of origin (CO)Loading footageCommissioning support

๐Ÿ’ก Reference transit times: South-East Asia 7โ€“15 days, India and the Middle East 15โ€“25 days, Latin America 30โ€“40 days.

Payment structure: the money moves in two transfers, never one

[REPLACE_DEPOSIT_PERCENT] depositAfter the contract is signed. The machine is reserved and comes off the market.
[REPLACE_BALANCE_PERCENT] balanceAfter the pre-shipment check passes โ€” before the container is sealed.
  • Never pay 100% up front. Whoever you buy from, paying in full before delivery is the single largest risk in used-equipment trading.
  • Company account only, with the payee matching the seller named in the contract โ€” traceable, and verifiable by your bank before you send.
  • Each payment follows a check you have just done yourself: the machine before the deposit, the goods before the balance.

The four documents you end up holding

Sales contract and PI

Fixes the model, serial number, configuration, refurbishment scope and warranty terms. This is what your deposit is paid against.

Commercial invoice and packing list

The documents your balance payment and your customs broker both work from.

Ocean bill of lading

Title to the goods. With the original B/L in your hands, the machine is yours.

Certificate of origin

Required for clearance in most markets, and the basis for preferential duty rates where a trade agreement applies.

Getting the machine to your port

Machine sizeUsual methodNotes
Up to ~250 t40 ft containerUsually fits without dismantling.
~250 โ€“ 800 t40 ft or 40 ft HQ containerMay require removing the hopper, guards or safety gate.
~800 โ€“ 1600 tFlat rack or break bulkClamping unit and injection unit often shipped separately.
Above 1600 tBreak bulkLifting plan and port handling arranged in advance.

Freight is quoted per machine and per destination โ€” it moves too much to publish. Tell us the port and we will include it in the machine quotation.

Common questions about the process

Is the deposit percentage always the same?

It is the standard split for most orders. For very large tonnage, or an order with heavy custom reconfiguration, the ratio can be adjusted โ€” whatever is written in the contract governs. What never changes is the sequence: the balance is paid only after the goods check passes.

Can we use a letter of credit?

For larger orders, yes โ€” an irrevocable L/C at sight is workable and we will provide the document set your bank requires. It costs more in bank charges and adds time, so for a single machine most buyers find the two-transfer structure simpler and just as safe.

I am still uneasy. What is the safest way to start?

Start with a free video inspection and do not commit to anything. Look at two or three machines, from us and from other suppliers, and compare what each is willing to show you. A supplier who will not put a camera on a machine before payment has told you something important. If you want a further layer, appoint SGS, Bureau Veritas or your own forwarder for the pre-shipment check โ€” we welcome it and have nothing to hide from it.

What if the machine that arrives is not the one on the video?

That is what the serial number in the contract is for. The machine plate is filmed during the inspection and its serial number is written into the contract and onto the packing list, so the machine, the paperwork and the container all have to agree. If they did not, you would have written evidence from before the balance was ever paid.

Start with step one

Send the part you are moulding and the destination port. We come back with what is actually in stock, and a video of it running โ€” before anything is committed.
